Dr. Winfrey S. Clarke
Associate Dean and Director of Research
School of Agriculture, Virginia State University

Dr. Winfrey S. Clarke is currently Associate Dean and Director of Research, School of Agriculture, Virginia State University (VSU). He received his Ph. D. and M.S. degrees in Agricultural Education/Extension from the University of Minnesota and a B.S. degree in

Agricultural Education from Virginia State University (VSU). Dr. Clarke has held University positions in all of the tripartite land grant mission areas - teaching, research and extension. He served as Director of International Agricultural Programs at VSU for six years and has significant experience in designing, implementing and evaluating development assistance projects overseas. In this capacity, Dr. Clarke has served on both long and short-term assignments on USAID projects in a number of countries in Africa, Asia and the South Pacific.
