Dr. Yohe is the Program Director of the INTSORMIL CRSP has worked on diverse activities linked to international agricultural research and rural development for the past 30 years. He grew up on a general purpose farm. His first professional position after the B.S. degree was as a 4-H club agent with University of Missouri Extension Service. He earned a Masters in poultry nutrition (University of Missouri) and worked in the feed industry for six years. He received his

Doctorate in international
plant breeding (University of Missouri) where he analyzed the world
germplasm collection of mungbeans. As part of his Doctoral thesis,
he worked at the Orrisa University of Agricuture and Technology,
located in Bhubaneswar, Orissa, India. His first professional international
assignment was with the University of Wisconsin Northeast Natural
Resource Development Project in Northeast Brazil. From there, he
worked in South Korea on a soybean development program. In 1977
he was employed by the USAID, Technical Assistance Bureau, Office
of Agriculture as a grain legume agronomist. In 1984 he moved to
the University of Nebraska to work with the Sorghum/Millet CRSP
(INTSORMIL) program. |
